Baked Ziti
8 oz ziti pasta
1 onion, chopped
1 jar spaghetti sauce
3 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
¾ cup sour cream
3 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 tbs grated parmesan cheese
1. Cook ziti as directed on the package
2. In a large skillet sauté onion (using cooking spray). Add spaghetti sauce and simmer 15 minutes.
3. preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 inch square baking dish. Layer as follows: ½ ziti, provolone cheese, sour cream, ½ sauce mixture, ziti, mozzarella cheese, remaining sauce mixture. Top with grated parmesan cheese.
4. Bake for 30 minutes in preheated oven until cheese is melted.
You can add ground beef or turkey to this dish (browning it at the same time as the onion).
