Husband's Calcined Magnesia
A Philadelphia Chemist, Thomas J. Husband blatantly copied the formula bottle and nae for this medicine from Englands Thomas and William Henry's Calcined Magnesia. The product was introduced to the US in 1844. His sonThomas Jr. Joined the business in 1867. In 928 the bottle and name was still the same, with the only difference being that the bottle was actually mass produced in a automatic bottle machine.
This product was advertised to be more agreeable in taste and required a much smaller dose than other magnesia products in the market.
